ORTHOGONAL TRANSFORMING CODER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the orthogonal transforming coder for which quantizing error is made equal in the decoded signals of respective frames without providing any decoding circuit for an inter-frame differential processing and further in-frame/inter-frame differential processings are always completed during two frame periods. CONSTITUTION:A video signal is made into a small block by a small block making equipment 10 for the unit of the frame, and an, added block due to inter-frame addition and a differential block due to inter-frame subtraction are obtained from this inter-block signal by an adder 23 and a subtracter 24, and the added block and the differential block are orthogonally transformed by an orthogonal transformer 30. Then, plural middle blocks making the added block and the differential block into one middle block are gathered, the data amount is compressed to a fixed data amount and those blocks are coded by a coder 50.
