Pyridyl-thiazole derivatives, of structure (I), in which R<1> is optionally substituted phenyl; R<2> is C1-6alkyl or (CH2)nAr in which n is 0 to 2 and Ar is optionally substituted phenyl; R<3> is hydrogen or C1-4alkyl; R<4> is hydrogen, C1-4alkyl, NR<7>R<8> or OC1-4alkyl; R<5> is hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl; R<6> is hydrogen, C1-4alkyl or NR<7>R<8>; R<7> and R<8> are the same or different and are each hydrogen or C1-4alkyl or one of R<7> and R<8> is hydrogen and the other is hydroxy C1-4alkyl, or R<7> and R<8>, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form a 5- or 6-membered ring optionally containing one or more additional heteroatoms; or a salt thereof and their use in therapy as gastric acid secretion inhibitors.
