The vehicle door construction incorporates an integrated air bag (11). In its initial compact state the air bag is secured to the outer surface of the inner wall (2) of the door. The folded air bag has parallel flat walls (17,18) and one of the walls (17) forms a moisture sealing layer with the inner wall of the door. USE/ADVANTAGE - Vehicle door with a built-in air bag which does not require additional structural outlay or special sealing.
