PURPOSE:To improve the printing resistance of a photosensitive material and to reduce the cost of production by providing a synthetic resin pulp layer contg. carbon fibers as a waterproof layer on a conductive paper base. CONSTITUTION:The carbon fibers are incorporated at 1-20wt% into synthetic resin pulp, for example, polyolefin synthetic pulp and the pulp is made to paper by a paper machine. Ordinary pulp for paper into which an electrical conducting agent is incorporated is sheeted thereon and is dried. Such paper is heated to the m.p. of the synthetic resin pulp or above to form the conductive waterproof layer on the surface of the conductive paper base. A layer contg. an inorg. metallic salt, org. amine compd., etc. is provided as an intermediate layer thereon. A layer contg. zinc oxide, etc. is further formed as a photoconductive layer thereon to provide <=10<9>OMEGA surface resistivity thereon. The photosensitive material for an electrophotographic printing plate is thus obtd. Since the conductive waterproof layer is formed, the printing resistance is improved. |
