PURPOSE:To produce a furniture member fitted with an edge without preparing a mold different in size corresponding to the kind such as thickness of a wooden plate material in order to form an edge composed of a resin on the end edge of the wooden plate material using a mold and applying a release agent. CONSTITUTION:A mold 100 equipped with grasping parts 10 elastically grasping the end edge of a wooden plate material 10, the main body part 20 unified with the grasping parts 10 and the groove part 30 continuously formed by the main body part 20 and the grasping parts 10 and having releasability to a solidified resin is attached to the end edge of the wooden plate material 50. A liquid or pasty resin is injected in the space P formed by the wooden plate material 50 and the groove part 30 and heated to be solidified before the mold 100 is separated from the solidified resin.
