PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition improved in the rate of crystallization, heat aging resistance, etc., without detriment to its heat resistance, etc., by adding a specified amount of a specified polyalkylene glycol to a polyphenylene sulfide of specified properties. CONSTITUTION:70-99wt.% polyphenylene sulfide having a melt viscosity of below 300P or before curing and 10-50000P after curing is mixed with 30-0.5wt.% polyalkylene glycol of formula I (wherein R is R'' -NH2 when n=1, and 1-5 C alkyl when n>=2; R' is 2-6 C alkylene; R'' is 1-6 C alkylene; (m) is 5-25000; and (n) is 1-10) to produce a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition. The crystallization rate, heat aging resistance, etc., of this composition can further be improved by adding thereto a nucleator (e.g. talc) of a mean particle diameter of below 4mum, a phenolic stabilizer of a 5wt.% weight-loss temperature of 300 deg.C or above (e.g. formula II), etc. |
