PURPOSE: To obtain a stable microsphere composition capable of being sterilized by irradiation. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises a fat, a wax or its mixture, an active ingredient selected from LL-F28249α-λcompound, a 23-oxo or a 23 imino derivative of LL-F28249α-λcompound, a milbemycin compound and an avermectin compound, an oil, a half-soft fat, a fatty acid derivative or their mixture and an antioxidant. The composition is parenterally administered, a level in blood of the active ingredient in a warm-blooded animal is maintained for a long period of time to protect a warm-blooded animal from infections and infestations caused by helminth, nematodes, acarids, and endo- and ectoparasitic arthropods or to treat the animal. |
