PURPOSE:To widen the width of musical sound control and to enable more flexible musical sound control operation by enabling a player to output a signal corresponding to the extent of the strain of a strain sensor by utilizing the gripping force of the whole hand. CONSTITUTION:An upper constituent member 2 and a lower constituent member 3 both form nearly flat rectangular prism shapes and the lower inner side of the upper constituent member 2 and the upper inner side of the lower constituent member 3 are rotatably coupled on a shaft extending in the length direction. A group 1 of plural operation switches is provided on the top surface of the upper constituent member 2 and arranged corresponding to the positions of the respective fingers when a main body B is gripped in the palm. Those respective switches are operated to obtain various musical sound control signals. The strain sensor 4 is arranged between the upper constituent member 2 and lower constituent member 3 on the shaft A as a fulcrum and detects pressure applied to the strain sensor 4 corresponding to the gripping force of the palm. A musical sound control signal regarding after-touch effect and pitch bend effect is outputted corresponding to the pressure signal outputted by the strain sensor 4. |
