Travelling appts. for textile spinning machines exchanges creel packages and handles strand ends. Appts. consists of two devices. One device transfers strand packages onto creel of spinning machine. The other handles strand ends for introduction into spinning position. Package transfer device removes packages that are already on creel, thereby making room for new packages. Strand handling device grasps strand end and threads it onto machine using strand guide located on creel. Appts. travels on rollers on top of conveyor rail and is driven by motor. Train of packages is suspended on arms and travels on rollers. It is pushed along conveyor rail by retractable arm which engages in carrier. Packages are transferred to creel rail by pusher. Pusher consists of frame and pivots on axis in guides. Motor pivots frame towards packages and then motor drives pusher towards spinning machine. Pusher uses pegs to push packages along rail onto creel rail. Strand handling device consists of robot arms and suction head and servo-motors. Package is held steady by arm.
