PURPOSE:To obtain the receiver in which frame synchronization control is attained even at initial acquisition or hand-off under frequency selective fading. CONSTITUTION:A demodulation section of a receiver is provided with a quasi- synchronization detector 140, a tentative storage memory 144 of a detection output, a write address counter 145 for the memory 144, an asynchronous correlation device 146 taking correlation between a reception data pattern and a known UW data pattern, a UW tentative discrimination circuit 147 receiving an output of the address counter 145 and an output of the asynchronous correlation device 146, an adaptive equalizer 148 equalizing reception input data in the memory 144 by using the UW tentative discrimination circuit 147, a UW detector 103 receiving the equalization data to detect a UW position, and a frame synchronization control means 150 receiving an output of a UW tentative discrimination circuit 142 and an output of the UW detector 103 to implement the frame synchronization control. |
