PURPOSE:To extend the life of a battery or the like by providing an eyepiece part with a detecting switch means which detects the contact state of photographer's face. CONSTITUTION:When a face 10 representing the part of an eyeball 201 of the photographer is separated from an eyecup 105, electricity is not supplied from a power supply circuit 107 to a signal processing circuit 109 because a detecting switch 106 it turned off, and a gaze detecting system and a view finder 101 are not operated. When the face 10 of the photographer closely comes into contact with the eyecup 105, the detecting switch 106 is turned on, and the power supply circuit 107 is started to supply the electricity to the signal processing circuit 109 and the view finder 101. When the face 10 of the photographer is separated from the eyecup 105 in this state, the detecting switch 106 is turned off, and the power supply circuit 107 is shut off, and the signal processing circuit 109 and the view finder 101 stop the operation. |
