The plastic bottle has a body (11) and a closure consisting of a cover (13) which for opening and closing the bottle body pouring aperture (15) is pivotable around a link. A link part (21) is formed on the cover. The bottle body is formed by a blowing process and a further link part (17) is formed on the bottle body. As link part on the bottle body at least one rib-shaped indentation (17) is formed and on the cover (13) a rotary pin (21) is provided as link part for fitting in the indentation The cover, at least laterally, has a downwardly drawn edge (19) from which on opposite sides rotary pins (21) extend. On the upper part on opposite sides rib-shaped indentations (17) are located for accommodation of the corresp. rotary pins (21). USE/ADVANTAGE - A plastic bottle which at least partly obviates disadvantages experienced with known such bottles, is cheap to produce and presents no problems as far as recycling is concerned.
