A method of measurement of density of liquid materials being flow motion, in which by means of flexible connections is isolated a section of pipeline with the liquid being measured of variable density, and it is stimulated to vibrate torsionally by means of a drive-measurement system, mating with a system of automatic amplification regulation, characterised in that the isolated pipeline section is connected axially by a symmetric springy element of torsion rigidity selected in such a way that torsion resonance vibrations are produced of T vibration period within the range 1-0.1 s, next the torsion period is measured and correlated with the density ro of the liquid flowing in the pipeline, according to the dependence ro=const T.2. A device for measurement of density of liquid materials being in flow motion, equipped with a resonance device which is composed of a shaft on bearings with a magnetic rotor, connected to a torsionally springy element fixed in casing, whoever, on the shaft is attached a symmetrically split through-pipeline, connected by means of torsional flexible joints to the main pipeline, where the tested liquid flows, and also axially in relation to the rotor is attached a stator with a drive-measurement transducer of self-excited-resonance vibration, characterised in that the symmetrically split through-pipeline (9) is fixed on arms (8) rigidly mounted on the shaft (1), suspended on a torsional springy element (4), which has a from of a rod, preferably of slightly thickened ends at the point of connection, whereas stator's drive-measurement transducer (7) is located on its circumference, preferably within magnetic field of one magnet, whose pole shoes are located in front of these transducers.<IMAGE>
