Thermal process machine with accessories - with analogue measurement and control buses connected to a microprocessor

Thermal process machine (in partic., a thermal cutting or welding machine) incorporates various units e.g. a torch height setter, rotatable torch, gas volume controller, drives etc. which are connected to one another and to a microprocessor by means of leads. The microprocessor (12) is connected to an analogue measurement and control bus (13, 14). At the same time, the analogue measurement bus (14) is connected to at least one sensor (11, 11,1, 11,2), while the analogue bus (13) is connected to at least one drive. The analogue measurement busbar (14) is pref. connected to the microprocessor (12) via an analogue-to-digial converter (15), while the microprocessor is connected to analogue control busbar (13) via a digital-to-analogue computer (16). USE/ADVANTAGE - In thermal processing plants. It allows sensors and control devices to be microprocessor operated with reduced hardware in comparison with known installations.
