The drive is transmitted from a pump-turbine fluid clutch (14, 15) to a wheelset propeller shaft (40) via two gear-changing mechanisms with hydraulic controls (100). The speed ratios of the respective input and output shafts (16:23,44:40) are corrected by means of friction clutches (20, 33, 34, 52) and brakes (31, 36, 53) subject to electronic control (62). When the two gear-changing mechanisms are operated at the same time, the ratios of the speed variations of the respective input shafts are adapted hydraulically to a predetermined ratio in relation to the majority of the frictional elements. ADVANTAGE - Mechanical shock avoided during changes of transmission ratio and the duration of the changes can be shortened. |
