STRUCTURE FOR SUPPORTING BEARING IN CAN

PURPOSE:To easily align a bearing with the shaft, to prevent the decentering of the bearing when in operation due to the bearing reaction or thermal expansion and to prolong the life of the bearing by using this structure. CONSTITUTION:The bearing box 8 contg. a bearing 5 is supported from the inner wall 10 of a vessel by the three circumferential and two vertical turnbuckles 9. A screw 11 for adjusting the length and exerting a tension on the turnbuckle 9 and an expansion joint 12 for relieving the thermal stress produced in the box 8, turnbackle 9 and inner wall 10 due to the temp. difference from the agitated vessel 1 are provided to the turnbuckle 9. The joint 12 has a strength against the bearing reaction and has a spring constant capable of absorbing the elongation difference due to thermal expansion.
