PURPOSE:To suppress growing of foreign substances on a conveying roller by lowering the surface temp. of the conveying roller by cooling from the end part to a specified region at a specified value or lower when a cellulose triacetate film used for a photographic photosensitive material, etc., is cast on a substrate and the film is prepd. CONSTITUTION:A cellulose triacetate film 3 cast onto a rotating drum 5 from a casting die 1 is dried and cooled for solidification on the drum 5, which is cooled below 20 deg.C. The film is peeled off from the drum 5 as a film 4, which is conveyed by means of conveying rollers 7 (71, 72,...) and is dried from both sides. In such a method for making a film as this, when the wt. ratio of a solvent in the film peeled off from the drum 5 is 40wt.% or more, the surface temp. in a region being at least 30mm inside from the end part of the film on the conveying roller 7 is cooled at 20 deg.C or lower. This cooling is performed by blowing a cooling wind from a cooling wind blowing nozzle 8. |
