PURPOSE:To produce acid having high density from neutral salt at high electric current efficiency with an electrodialysis method. CONSTITUTION:In the electrodialysis method, a bipolar membrane and anion exchange membrane and, as necessary, cation exchange membrane are used. The anion exchange membrane consisting of copolymers of vinylpyridine, divinylbenzene, and styrene having has 1-5 meq./g dry resin as the ion exchanging capacity and protonizing nitrogen in pyridine heterocyclic ring with acid to produce pyridinium is used. |
