PURPOSE:To provide a polyester excellent in clarity, gas barrier properties. strengths, etc., and a molded article prepd. therefrom. CONSTITUTION:A polyester prepd. by copolymerizing a dicarboxylic acid component contg. 80-99.5mol% terephthalic acid or its ester-forming deriv. and 0.5-4.5mol% pheny1enedioxydiacetic acid or its ester-forming deriv. with a diol component is provided together with a hollow container and a stretched film prepd. therefrom.
