PURPOSE:To provide an asbestos-free heat-resistant inorganic sheet material suitable for gasket, heat-shielding plate, electrical insulation plate, etc. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material is manufactured from a mixture of mica, wollastonite, silicic raw material and hydraulic cement by paper-making process. The sheet is punched to a prescribed form and an alkyl silicate is impregnated in the sheet and hydrolyzed to form silica sol filled in the void of the formed sheet material. The sheet is dried by heating and calcined to obtain the objective heat-resistant inorganic sheet material. |
