The system has two VHS type 1/2 inch video tape recorder and one 8 mm (or 4 mm) video tape recorder builtin, so as to easily record or regenerate two different format video tapes. The system comprises: triple decks (2,3,4) recording broad cast signals passed through a digital tuner (11) or exterior signals in magnetic media, and regenating the recorded signals; a switching means selecting a transmitting deck and a receiving deck among them; means (20,21,22) detecting synchronous signals included in the video signals recorded in the magnetic media; a key-in means (15) having a plurality of function keys for operating the decks and the key-in means; and a control means generating control signals according to input signals.
