This chroma keyea device using composite video signal can form the desired composite display from chroma keyea signal by the separation of R.G.B video signal in cam coder or VTR using a composite text and display signal. This device comprises the 1st process of discriminating burst flag pulse in horizontal synchronization, the 2nd process of discriminating the signal of R.G.B, the 3rd process of forming the color-phase margin signal of compound numbers at one signal elected in the R.G.B signal generated by the 2nd process and the R.G.B signal inputted from an exterual terminal, the 4th process of generating the chroma signal gained by the 3rd process and the 5th process of synchronizing the same phase in the signal generated by the 1st,2nd,3rd,4th by delay.
