CONSTITUTION: This is an expandable ring 2 or cylinders 66, 80 (so-called stent) for locally supporting and reinforcing an internal duct, especially a blood vessel. The obturators 66, 80 are filled with a hardening material, which is hardened in being carried to a desired position in the duct 60 by a catheter or a dotter- shaped device.</p> |
