LOW REFLECTION ARTICLE AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To lower the light reflectivity of the article by forming a film formed with specific fine holes on the surface of a plastic product. CONSTITUTION:The plastic product is coated with a resin film contg. metal oxide particulates and thereafter, a dissolving soln. capable of dissolving these particulates is brought into contact with this film, by which at least the surface layer of the film is changed to the layer of the resin having the fine holes formed after the particulates in the layer are dissolved away. A film of an organo-polysiloxane contg. the metal oxide particulates is preferable as the resin film contg. the metal oxide particulates with which the surface of the article is coated. The particulates are preferably colloidal silica, the dissolving soln are hydrofluoric acid and the resin are a silicone resin.
