PURPOSE:To allow a neon sign to flicker by means of solar cells by letting resonance occur at the frequency roughly doubling the input basic frequency when current equivalent to a specified periodic portion of energizing time flows in a transformer. CONSTITUTION:Energizing time at the time of minimum input voltage is controlled to be less than 14mus equivalent to 1/4 period with the output of a saw tooth wave generating circuit 13 compared with the output of a power supply voltage detection circuit 22. When 1/4 periodic current flows in a secondary coil, let resonance occur at the frequency roughly doubling the input basic frequency in the capacity between the inner windings of a transformer Tf1 and the like, and also in capacitors C3 through C6 set in parallel with the secondary oil, and the insertion of a diode D1 into the primary side of the transformer enables the primary side to resonate freely from the plus side to the minus side. In addition, output is powered up with capacitors C7 through C10 inserted to the secondary side of the transformer Tf1 in series. The installation of the capacitors C3 through C6 and the capacitors C7 through C10 allows current at the secondary output side to be stabilized by making use of a migration of resonance frequency. By this constitution, a neon sign can be lighted and let it flicker by making use of the small electric power of solar cells. |
