The invention relates to onboard optical apparatuses. The subject of the invention is a swivelling sight head 10 on which are mounted a thermal camera 11a and a sight telescope 11b, which sight head is stabilised by means of an inertial reference gyroscope 18. The sight axes A and B of these optical apparatuses are furthermore stabilised independently of each other by the slaving (controlling) of respective optical deflectors 32a, 32b by means of a two-channel autocollimater 22 which is itself stabilised by the gyroscope 18. Application to obtaining automatic and permanent harmonisation of the optical apparatuses carried by the same sight head. <IMAGE>
