PURPOSE:To receive incoming calls from both cordless and celullar phones in case the slave unit is in a cordless speech area. CONSTITUTION:A celullar reception section 105 capable of receiving signals from a cellular base station is added to a master unit. When the slave unit is in a cordless communications mode, the master unit monitors the incoming signals and position register signals from the cellular base station and informs them to the slave unit in the cordless communications using a cordless transmission section 103 when detecting the signals to the slave unit. Thus, the slave unit can respond to the incoming calls from both cordless and cellular phones and to the position registration.
