摘要 Prepn. of liq. plant extracts comprises use of a 1-10 wt.% soln. of one or more nonionic surfactants selected from fatty acid glycerine polyethylene glycol ester, polysorbate or fatty alcohol glycoside. The surfactant is the prod. of the reaction of 1 mole of hydrogenated castor oil and 40-45 moles of ethylene oxide. The amt. of surfactant is esp. 5-8 wt.% of the aq. soln. Extraction is at a temp. between room temp. and a temp. just below b.pt. of the extraction liquid. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is useful in recovery of pharmaceuticals, perfumes, foodstuffs, cosmetics, or luiqid seasonsings. The process allows prodn. of ethanol-free extracts and is esp. suitable for prepn. of extracts contg. lipophilic components
