Vertical shaft reactor with fixed catalyst bed - divided by vertical intermediate walls into channels whose cross=section dimensions are ten to thirty times those of the catalyst particles
摘要
Reactor has a fixed catalyst bed whose ratio of dia. to length (in the direction of fluid flow) is between 1:20 and 1:5. Intermediate walls extending vertically throughout the entire length of the fixed bed divide the catalyst into parallel longitudinal channels with approximately equal cross-sections. Also claimed is a hydrogenation process using this reactor. USE/ADVANTAGE - For heterogenous catalystic gas-liquid reactions. An equal distribution of the liq. flow throughout the entire length of the reactor bed is ensured, without increasing the difficulty of filling and emptying the reactor.
