In applications where there is a choice between a digital signal source and other signal sources, esp. two clock pulse generators, the problem of losses due to the problem of losses due to the increased power consumption is obviated by this circuitry which, depending on the use of a control terminal (SE) with a digital source or a function unit with another source, switches or controls a source of a stream of signals working against a fixed source of signals.
