A magnetic head with a second basic plate being adhered through an adhesion layer on the face opposite to the first basic plate with a magnetic core composed of a laminated member of N (N >/= 2) metallic magnetic layers with a thickness A interposed with N - 1 (or more) layer insulation layers of a thickness B, formed directly on the first basic plate. A part of the portion recorded with the N<th> metallic magnetic layer, and of the portion recorded with the (N - 1)<th> metallic magnetic layer are overwritten when recording the next track so that better recording can be realized. <IMAGE>
