PURPOSE:To provide a drive unit that is compact in size, inexpensive in cost and high in accuracy, and besides, high-speed drive is achievable, reducing the extent of noises, and that it is very good in assembling properties when built in a machine tool and suchlike. CONSTITUTION:A torque generating means 26 is installed in a sliding base 7 to be guided by a track base 5, attaching a driving roller 28 to an output shaft 26a of this torque generating means 26, and this driving roller 28 is made so as to be rolled along the track base 5, thus such effects as miniaturization, cost reduction and both high precision and high-speed drive promotions are obtained in this way. In addition, the torque generating means 26 is attached to a side face of the sliding base sideways, through which the effect of improvement in assembling properties is securable. |
