<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembling work of a rod and a locking device. CONSTITUTION:This trunk lid locking device is formed of a cylinder lock 10 fitted to the outer plate 3 of a trunk lid 2; a first lever 11 pivotally supported at the holder 15 of the cylinder lock 10 so as to be rotated horizontally reacting to the push-in of the cylinder lock 10; a second lever 12 pivotally supported at the first lever 11 so as to be rotated vertically; a locking device 13 fitted to the inner panel 4 of the trunk lid 2, in a position lateraly decentered from the cylinder lock 10, so as to be engaged/disengaged with/from a striker 1a on the body 1 side; and a rod 14 positioned in a space between the outer plate 3 and inner panel 4 in such a state that one end thereof is connected to the second lever 12 and the other end thereof is connected to the claw lever 26, protruding inward from a panel opening part 27, of the locking device 13. After connecting the end part of the rod 14 hung from the panel opening part 27 to the claw lever 26 of the locking device 13, the locking device 13 is fitted to the inner panel 4 while moving the rod 14 horizontally.</p> |
