A corrugated board machine, especially for producing single-sided corrugated board, has a nip roll (8) which can be adjusted against a corrugated roll (4), forming a nip roll gap (7). The nip roll (8) in this arrangement is mounted in a pair of levers (9) on which a nip device (14) engages, by means of which the nip roll (8) is loaded in the radial direction towards the corrugated roll (4) with a nip force (A). A force sensor (force measuring cell 24) for detecting the nip force (A) produced by the nip device is assigned to the pair of levers. A control unit (26) is coupled on the input side to the force sensor (force measuring cell 24) and on the output side to an adjusting device (25, 25') and controls the nip force (A) of the nip device (14), via the adjusting device (25, 25'), to a defined desired value. <IMAGE>
