<p>PURPOSE:To allow a nonmetallic iron side to be swung like a metallic iron and improve the directivity of a driven ball by setting the trend of the angle between the vertical line of the shaft axis of a golf club and the extension line of the face surface of the golf club to the same trend for the nonmetallic iron and the metallic iron. CONSTITUTION:The trend of the center of gravity angle theta is set gradually smaller, nearly equal, and gradually larger continuously from a nonmetallic iron to a metallic iron as shown by lines (a)-(c). To make the center of gravity angle continuous, the shaft axis 4 is displaced in the toe 7b direction at the neck section 7a of a club head 2, and the displacement quantity L is adjusted to continuously change the center of gravity angle 61. The nonmetallic iron side can be swung to drive a ball like the metallic iron, and the club having the connection section of the nonmetallic iron side and the metallic iron can be smoothly swung, and the directivity of a driven ball can be improved.</p> |
