PURPOSE:To provide a rotary drive transmission device which can improve image quality by averaging dot interval in printing and so on. CONSTITUTION:An encoder 7 is connected to a driven body of rotation 5 driven by a frictional force, and a difference between an output frequency and a reference frequency of the encoder 7 is detected. A rotation speed control device is provided which executes control by changing a rotation speed of a driving body of rotation 2 based on this detected signal. In the rotation speed control device 8, a rotation speed control means is provided in which a maximum value of a change amount of the rotation speed of the driving body of rotation is set.
