Laminate comprising at least one layer of nitrile butadiene rubber and a layer of polyethylene which adheres directly thereto, which laminate is obtained by removing solvent from a layer of polyethylene gel and in which laminate that surface of the polyethylene layer which adheres to the rubber essentially comprises chlorine-containing polyethylene, as well as a method for producing a laminate of this nature by bonding together at least the abovementioned layers at elevated pressure and at a temperature which lies above the melting point of the polyethylene.
