- Device for discharging granular or pulverulent materials from a circular storage silo, of the type including an endless screw (worm) (7) which is essentially radial and which entrains the product in a centripetal direction towards a central discharge pit (shaft) (8), the screw interacting with a radial shelter (5) under which it can be immobilised during non-use and which makes it possible, in addition, to gain access to the central mechanism consisting of a motor (15), of a reduction gear (14) and of a bevel gear pair (9), the mechanism is mounted on a bearing disc (10), offering a bearing for the vertical passage of the drive shaft (13) of the gear-motor assembly (14, 15) and entraining the bevel gear pair (9), the bearing disc is itself mounted in rotation in an off-centre position on a second disc or sweeping disc (12) entrained in an alternating movement of rotation over approximately 180@, and associated with mechanical means (16, 17) capable of generating a rotation of the bearing disc (10) with respect to the sweeping disc (12), a rotation such that the two extreme positions (6, 6') of the endless screw, defining the start and the end of each alternating sweeping stroke, resulting from the alternating rotational movement of the sweeping disc, are both adjacent, parallel and located under the radial shelter. <IMAGE>
