<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a title device which conducts multidirectional transfer of light by arranging a plurality of optical semiconductor chips on the surface of the side of a plastic base to make a constitution which can transfer multidirectional light at the same time. CONSTITUTION:The bottom of the side surface of a cylindrical plastic base 1a is provided with a plurality of mounts 2 almost at equal intervals in vertical positions, and conductor patterns 3 for electrode extraction are arranged inside the respective mounts, on which optical semiconductor chips 4 are die-bonded, respectively. One electrode of an optical semiconductor chip 4 is connected to the other conductor pattern 3 arranged inside a mount 2, and each mount is filled with a phototransmittive resin 6. This design enables transfer of multidirectional light, so that a directionality equal to that obtained by plural combination in the prior art optical semiconductor device can be obtained by one optical semiconductor device.</p> |
