PURPOSE:To provide a battery having a large service capacity and being used with a small current for many hours by using such a material including a conductive agent of 0.1-1.0 percent by weight as a positive electrode black mixture. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode 2 are set facing each other via a separator 3 impregnated with a nonaqueous electrolyte and contained in a battery case formed of a positive electrode can 4 and a negative electrode can 5. The positive electrode 1 is connected to the positive electrode can 4 through a positive electrode collector 6 and the negative electrode 2 is connected to the negative electrode can 5 through a negative electrode collector 7, and the chemical energy generated inside a battery BA1 is brought out as electric energy of the positive electrode can 4 and negative electrode can 5. Here, the positive electrode black mixture consisting of carbon powder serving as a conductive material and binding agent is firmly stuck on the collectors 6 and 7 so as to form the electrodes 1 and 2. It is included as the positive electrode black mixture, a conductive agent of 0.1-1.0 percent of weight, the service capacity is high because of high coefficient of utilization of the active material and it can be suitably used in a battery of a small current for a long period. |
