<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the data volume of mixed mode document information by arranging one large character block in each page to reduce the layout information volume. CONSTITUTION:A mixed mode terminal equipment which can process document information where character blocks consisting of character data and raster blocks consisting of raster data exist in the same page together is controlled. When character blocks and raster blocks exist together in the same page, character blocks in the page are integrated into one block, and a space character is inserted into character positions included in areas of raster blocks. Consequently, one large character block is arranged in each page. Thus, the layout information volume is reduced to reduce the data volume of mixed mode document information.</p> |
