An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal composition which has a positive &Dgr;∈, a liquid crystal phase in a wide temperature range, an good solubility at a low temperature, excellent ODE process compatibility, high specific resistance, and a high voltage holding ratio, and is stable with respect to heat and light, and in order to achieve the object, a liquid crystal composition containing compounds represented by the following Formulas (i) and (ii) is provided. (In the formula, Ri1 represents an alkyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, Rii1 represents an alkenyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, and Rii2 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.) |
