CONSTITUTION:Developer T is fed to a developer carrier 1 by a conductive developer feeding device 2, and formation of a thin layer of the developer T on the developer carrier 1 and its electrification is carried out by a conductive layer thickness restriction member 3. Surface potential of a developed image of an electrostatic latent image preserving body 10 after being developed and non image part are measured by a surface potential sensor 12. At least one of an electric power source E1 or an electric power source E2 connected to the conductive developer feeding member 2 and the conductive layer thickness restriction member 3 is controlled so that the surface potential of the developed image of the electrostatic latent image preserving body 10 after developing and the non image part are within a specified voltage range by a comparison controller 13. |
