PURPOSE:To make display contents enrich by providing a means to transfer information on a printer side to a host side and a means to process the transferred information on the host side. CONSTITUTION:The control system of a printer is composed of a control part 5100 provided with CPU 5101 such as a microprocessor or the like, ROM 5103 storing this control program or various data, RAM 5102 to be used as a work area and to temporarily preserve the various data and EEPROM 5104 for storing various head information even after a power source is turned off such as when exchanging a head, interface 5200, motor driver 5400 for driving various motors, and drive 5300 for driving a recording head. On the other hand, the host side is composed of a disk driver 5800 for driving a storage medium as well as the equipments, and a driver 5700 for driving a CRT. Then, a signal system is provided with a receiving signal line, transmitting signal line and ground line. |
