Coking system and reactor block Coking system functioning on the batchwise feeding of coking blends, preferably on a hardcoal base, to a reactor which is heated indirectly by heat recovery in regenerators or recuperators, where the reactor is of a high-capacity type and Several high-capacity coking reactors have been united to form a reactor block while being nevertheless of a modular design with each module being operatable and, as the case may be, replaceable independently of its neighboring modules and without - or practically without - affecting the operational functionality of those neighbouring modules. Each of the reactors is independently operatable in terms of statics and heat supply. The regenerators viz. recuperators may be arranged either laterally to or underneath the reactor chamber. Neighbouring reactors may have one intermediate wall in common.
