PURPOSE:To freely control the opening and closing of a seal bar in accordance with the detection of defective seals to prevent troubles in advance on defective seals, by driving to open or close the seal bar with a servomotor and controlling the servomotor with a detector for defective seals. CONSTITUTION:A pair of seal bars 3 in a heat sealing device are connected to each other by joint links 14 and driven by a servomotor 13 through a driving link 11, a coupling 12, etc. The servomotor is controlled by a detector for defective seals arranged between the seal bars 3 and a holder disc 15. A loadcell is used for the detector 10 of defective seals as a detector of load distribution of the seal bars 3 for instance and fitted at three positions in the width direction of the seal bars 3. When a defective seal is detected, the seal bars 3 are immediately stopped by the servomotor 13, and forced to retreat to the original position. In this way, sealing operation stops and defective seals are removed. |
