CONTROLLABLE GRIPPER UNIT FOR PAPER DISCHARGING APPARATUS OF PRINTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: To obtain gripper control so as to gradually discharge a paper sheet in the paper sheet carrier of a printing press and be capable of changing the speed of the gripper during the discharging process from a complete carrier chain speed to almost zero and reducing the action of inertia to the carriage chain. CONSTITUTION: The gripper is equipped on a carriage 18 which is placed movable in the direction reverse to the running direction of the carriage chain 1 against spring force in a guide 17 onto a shield member 14 of the gripper unit. A connection member 26 mutually combined by two hinges are supported by the shield member 14 and the carriage 18 respectively and, further, is operable against a cam via a cam roller 27 by a toggle hinge.
