PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain position information on a vehicle even when a user is too far away from the vehicle to communicate directly. SOLUTION: The vehicle position searching system consists of a remote controller 1, a vehicle 2 corresponding to it, and another vehicle 3. The remote control 1 is constituted by connecting a storage device 5, a communication device 6, an input device 7, and a display device 8 to a control part 4. The vehicle 2 and 3 are provided with controllers 9 and 10, door lock devices 11 and 12, which control the door lock mechanisms of the respective doors of the vehicles 2 and 3, and navigation systems 13 and 14. When a search for the position of the vehicle 2 is made by operating the remote controller 1, a position search signal is outputted from the remote control 1 and the vehicle 3 sends a vehicle position signal back in response. Then, the control part 4 of the remote control 1 calculates the direction and distance to the vehicle 2 on the basis of the vehicle position signal of the vehicle 2 and the vehicle position signal of the vehicle 3 and displays the arithmetic result on a display device 8. |
