A rotary ball valve comprises a rotatably mounted through-drilled ball 4 with a spherical surface, which cooperates with a valve seat formed by a supporting sleeve 12 arranged to move coaxially of a flow duct 6 and carrying at its axially inner end a metallic, annular sealing disc 17, which butts against the surface 8 of the ball 4, preferably by elastic spring force and under media pressure. The supporting sleeve 12 is shiftable with the aid of a threaded nut 20 which is mounted on an outer thread 19, so that the desired sealing force can be set during assembly after insertion of the ball 4. <IMAGE> |
