PURPOSE:To detect easily a clogging point with an instrument for sucking a petroleum product through a wire net having a prescribed mesh and measuring the temp. attaining a gage mark in a prescribed period by operating automatically liquid level detection, temp. detection and time indicating timer, etc. CONSTITUTION:A test tube 11 is put into a cooler 13 and the petroleum product (kerosene, heavy oil, etc.) 10 to be tested is put therein and is cooled to a prescribed temp. The temp. thereof is detected by a temp. detector 3. The tube is evacuated by a vacuum pump 18 and the product 10 is thereby sucked through the wire net having the prescribed mesh of a filter 12 into the filter up to the gage mark 1 of a pipette 9. The time when the product arrives at the mark 1 is measured by a timer 7. The temp. is discriminated at the clogging point of the filter by a discriminator 5 when the product is not sucked within the prescribed time. The sample is returned to the test tube 11 when the product is sucked within the prescribed time. The thorough discharge of the sample from the pipette 9 is discriminated by a liquid level detector 2 at the leg part. The temp. is further decreased and the product is filtered. The temp. and time are detected by making automatically the filtering operation and therefore the exact and easy measurement of the clogging point of the filter is made possible. |
